Andy Lopez-Perez

Surveyor Manager

With more than 13 years at PrimeCo, Andy Lopez brings extensive field experience, a strong work ethic, and a firsthand understanding of the work that goes into every successful project. Andy began his career in the industry as a painter and spent approximately 11 years working in the field before transitioning into his current role as Surveyor Manager nearly two years ago. As Surveyor Manager, Andy helps support PrimeCo's estimating and production pipeline by planning and coordinating inspections, conducting site surveys, completing data entry, and assisting with paint takeoffs. When an estimator needs additional information to finalize a bid, Andy steps in to gather the necessary details and conduct site visits to help ensure the team has accurate information. His primary areas of expertise include paint takeoffs and wood surveys, and he has also completed specialized training in deck coating systems. Andy credits his years in the field with preparing him for the responsibilities he has today. Having personally performed the work gives him a valuable perspective when evaluating properties and understanding what crews will encounter once a project begins. It has also shaped one of the things he finds most rewarding about his role: helping keep PrimeCo's field teams busy. Having experienced firsthand how difficult slow periods can be for employees and their families, Andy takes pride in contributing to a steady pipeline of work for the team. He also enjoys seeing a project come full circle. Andy often begins with photographs and surveys of a property before work starts, so seeing the transformation after PrimeCo completes a project is especially rewarding. When a project he surveyed or completed a paint takeoff for is awarded to PrimeCo, it gives him a strong sense of pride and motivates him to continue working harder for the team. Andy describes what he brings to PrimeCo as a strong work ethic, a low ego, a positive attitude, adaptability across multiple trades, and a commitment to helping the team achieve its goals. When interacting with clients and residents, he takes particular pride in respecting their property and maintaining a polite, professional, and positive attitude every day. Originally from Chautengo, Guerrero, Mexico, approximately four hours inland from Acapulco, Andy has called Southern California home for the past 31 years. Family is an important part of his life. As the oldest of five children, Andy grew up with three brothers and one sister and is now a proud father of two sons. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing soccer, fishing, exploring lakes, and firing up the barbecue.
